Tagbilaran City gets new PPE donations
Tagbilaran City is grateful to the Office of the Vice-President Leni Robredo for the PPEs and other medical paraphernalia given to the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT). Photo shows Barangay Affairs and Constituency Unit (BACU) Head Alvin Acuzar receiving the donations from Provincial Board Member Aldner Damalerio. It should also be remembered that Tagbilaran City’s First Lady Jane Yap also established “Gugma Tagbilaran”, a fundraiser project geared to provide PPEs to Tagbilaran City’s modern-day heroes, the initiative targets to deliver 500 PPEs to hospitals around Tagbilaran City. The risks faced by the doctors and nurses are mitigated when safety is guaranteed. Thus, Gugma Tagbilaran did just that and partnered with the private sectors in the City to provide medical grade PPEs, food care packages, face shield, masks, hygienic and reusable PPEs made of durable and waterproof material which you can disinfect.
FL Jane Yap rallied behind the needs of our medical doctors to arm themselves with the right protective gears as they battle in the frontlines against COVID-19. This is a global major crisis we are facing today. Tagbilaran City will continue to do its share and remain resilient. With all the efforts of the government and the support of the private sector, Tagbilaranons will all stand together in this fight against the Corona Virus Disease. As Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell “BABA” Yap underscored, “Hoping for the best but expecting the worst”.
