City Mayor John Geesnell “BABA” Yap lauded the efforts of the City Accounting, City Treasurer, City Budget, and City Audit for passing the Department of Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) for 2021. The City Government has been awarded the GFH seal since Mayor Yap’s assumption in office. Tagbilaran City’s sound fiscal management has been affirmed consistently since 2014. Aside from the Good Financial Housekeeping, Tagbilaran City’s 5th place ranking nationwide in collection efficiency from the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) is also another testament to the city’s good financial practices. Further, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) also awarded the Most Business Friendly LGU Category 3 to Tagbilaran City in 2018 and 2020 and a Special Citation in 2021.
