Fifteen out-of-school youths (OSY) were singled out to be trained in the Souvenir Items Manufacturing Business under the Tagbilaran City Livelihood and Community Development Unit (TCLCDU). Social Preparatory Trainings which include Gender Sensitivity, Values Formation, Financial Literacy, Reproductive Health, and Responsible Parenting kicked off last week. Trainers from the University of Bohol (UB) led by Dr. Leah Pilongo, Dr. Buenaventurada Libot, Dr. Ammon Tirol, Karen Labor, Angelo Yuayan, and Dr. Rica Trabajo shared their expertise with the participants. The skills training on Vector Data, Laser-Cutting, 3D making and printing, and T-shirt printing will immediately follow. According to TCLCDU Head Adelfa Salutan, the graduates of this business course can immediately engage in business as 20 heat and cool pressing machines are already available in the City Government. Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) turned over these fabricated machines to be used solely in providing livelihood to the Tagbilaranons.
