Tagbilaran City launches upcycled bags in SM Aura

Tagbilaran City takes centerstage as it launches the upcycled bags designed by renowned fashion designer Zarah Juan in SM Aura. City Mayor Jane Yap in collaboration with SPARK Philippines, Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc. and SM Supermalls, unveiled the eco-friendly bags themed as Alon, Dangal, and Alab.

You can check out the The Tarp Project collection at the Outside The Box pop-up, located at the Upper Ground Level in SM Aura.

It should be remembered that these bags were a proud product of the livelihood project strengthened by Mayor Yap to empower and capacitate the women in Tagbilaran. Aside from providing livelihood opportunities, it also leverages on the power of upcycling as it utilizes single-use plastics and old tarpaulins as raw materials.
