TAGBILARAN CITY ON BEING CLASSIFIED AS 2nd CLASS CITY

The improvement of Tagbilaran City’s income classification can be attributed to the Php219 million increase in revenues during City Mayor Jane Yap’s and VM Adam Relson Jala’s first term in office.

By virtue of RA 11964, cities must obtain an average annual regular income of P 1 billion or more but less than P 1.3 billion to be qualified as a 2nd-class city. With its new income class, Tagbilaran City can have better access to administrative and statutory aids, financial grants, and other forms of assistance to local governments. SALARY INCREASES to its EMPLOYEES will also be in place.
