Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman, Chair of the Philippine Open Government Partnership (PH-OGP), congratulates the four Local Government Units (LGUs) from the Philippines—Tagbilaran, Larena, Quezon City, and Baguio—who have been accepted into the OGP.
The OGP is an initiative among national and sub-national governments around the world promoting transparency in government and taking measures to fight corruption and strengthen governance. In 2016, the OGP Local program opened membership to local governments for initiatives promoting the values of OGP that are even closer to the people.
Present at the event were Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, Associate Justice Samuel Gaerlan, Commission on Elections Chairman George Erwin Garcia, Treasurer of the Philippines Sharon Almanza, DBM Undersecretaries Maria Francesca Del Rosario and Wilford Will Wong, OES Undersecretary Adrian Carlos Bersamin, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Cherbett Karen Maralit, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Undersecretary Joselin Marcus Fragada, and other National Government officials; members of the Diplomatic Corps and International Development Organizations; Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Borongan City Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda, and Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Censoria Cajes-Yap; and PH-OGP Steering Committee members.
