The City Government of Tagbilaran has been consistent in the provision of tuition fee subsidies to poor but deserving students since 2014. Before the assumption of City Mayor John Geesnell “BABA” Yap in office, Tagbilaran City Scholars were only sixty (60). Now, after 8 years, Tagbilaran City College (TCC) is already established providing full scholarships to more than a thousand students. Aside from the scholars in the TCC, the City Government also provides tuition fee subsidies to students enrolled in other colleges and universities. The tuition fee subsidy is Php10, 000.00 per scholar. Interested students have to submit the complete requirements to BACU. The application for scholarships started on February 11 up to February 24.
